Immersive Virtual Environments
A key component of my current position at Oregon State University is the creation of 3D virtual assets for virtual environments, including Second Life and OpenSim. These assets support teaching, learning, and research projects for a variety of academic departments. These screenshots showcase a few of my favorite projects from both environments.
The textures used are a mixture of photographic, custom drawn, and found images. While nearly all (95% or more) of the assets included in these particular screenshots were constructed and textured by me, I also manage and art direct the efforts of a stellar team of student designers who contribute their talents to the virtual world projects.
