{ UX/UI DESIGNER }

Hi, I’m Kimmy.

I'm an aesthetically driven problem solver.

Recent & Ongoing Projects

As the sole UX designer at the UC Davis Library, I lead all aspects of design and usability for a variety of web applications that support research and learning.

UC Davis Library Website

I led the UX and design aspects of a ground-up website redesign, including information architecture decisions, user testing, UI design, collaborating with developers on implementation, cross-browser QA testing, presentations and demos to various stakeholders, and training content creators on use of the new editing interface. I also provided photography, web graphics, and content writing.

Digital Collections

The UC Davis Digital Collections is a locally developed repository designed to store and manage digitized and born-digital items from the UC Davis Library Special Collections, increasing access to previously undiscoverable digital assets.

The current system was designed in 2017 and is currently undergoing a technical and visual redesign that is planned to launch in 2024. I am leading the design charge.

Aggie Experts

The UC Davis Aggie Experts system provides a single point of discovery for research and scholarship expertise and professional information about UC Davis faculty and scholars.

This brand new researcher profile system is currently in private beta undergoing user testing for the MVP. The first phase of the product is planned to launch publicly in Spring 2024.

Oldies but Goodies

Fun and interesting projects from the past that still hold a special place in my heart.
